Falling Walls Lab is coming to Cambridge
The Falling Walls Lab gives students and early-career professionals a chance to present their groundbreaking research to win a spot at the Falling Walls Lab finale in Berlin in November 2024. Each candidate has 3 minutes to showcase a breakthrough that creates a positive impact on science and society. The jury as well as the audience are going to vote for their favourite idea.

Information for candidates
Who can apply?
APPLICANTS MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER WHEN SUBMITTING THEIR APPLICATION. THEY MUST FULFIL AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING FORMAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently enrolled in university / currently a postdoc
- Awarded a Bachelor’s degree no more than 10 years ago
- Awarded a Master’s degree no more than 7 years ago
- Awarded a PhD no more than 5 years ago
PLEASE NOTE:
- Applications must be submitted in English
- Submitting multiple applications is not permitted
- Travel & accommodation expenses for attending the global Falling Walls Lab finale in Berlin will be covered
- Presenting at a Falling Walls Lab is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Past participants are no longer eligible to apply for a Lab
Lab winners
INTERNATIONAL LAB WINNERS GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRAVEL TO BERLIN, GERMANY from 7 to 10 November 2024 AND
- Compete in the Falling Walls Lab finale to become one of three Breakthrough Winners in the Emerging Talents category of Falling Walls. Emerging Talents Breakthrough Winners receive a cash prize and the opportunity to pitch their idea on the Falling Walls Breakthroughs of the Year stage, which, throughout the day, hosts leading experts, changemakers, and luminaries, including Nobel laureates and Leibniz Prize winners.
