Skills for the Global Engineer
Today's Engineers require the following effective communication skills: oral and written proficiency in English, expertise in more than one language, and inter-communication skills or the ability to interact effectively across cultures and understand different perspectives as well as world views (CDIO syllabus; GELS network; BADGE project).
CLIC is therefore launching a NEW Global Engineer Digital Badge scheme in 2020-2021, based on the work of the GELS network.
During their time at CUED, participants can earn a digital badge for each of the four individual skills: language proficiency, presentation skills, writing excellence and inter-communication.
